Classe 1994, centrocampista offensiva, Alexa Putellas è il nome maggiormente in voga del panorama calcistico femminile. Nata cresciuta a Mollet del Vallès, si appassiona al calcio e al Barcellona fin da piccola, obbligando i suoi a portarla ogni domenica al Camp Nou. Inizia a 6 anni dalle giovanili del CE Sabadell, poi un anno alla FC Barcelona’s Youth Academy e il passaggio ai cugini dell’Espanyol. Nel 2011, il trasferimento alla seconda squadra di Valencia: il Levante. Nel 2012, ad undici anni, arriva a giocare per la sua squadra del cuore, di cui è oggi la leader indiscussa.

Born in 1994, offensive midfielder, Alexa Putellas is the most popular name on the female football scene. Born and raised in Mollet del Vallès, she became passionate about soccer and Barcelona from a young age, forcing her parents to take her to Camp Nou every Sunday. She started at the age of 6 at CE Sabadell’s youth academy and then moved to FC Barcelona’s Youth Academy for a year, before moving on to Espanyol. In 2011, the transfer to the second team of Valencia: Levante. In 2012, at the age of eleven, she moved to her favourite team of which she is now the undisputed leader.
Her path in the blaugrana has been triumphant to say the least, having already won the Spanish championship five times, six Queen’s Cups, three cups of Catalonia and a Champions League, last season. A career that in Catalonia many associate with that of Lionel Messi, despite Putellas does not play in the three forwards.

Six feet tall, Putellas has excellent physical skills for her role. Since she was a young girl, she has been considered one of the best talents of her generation, for to winning two European Championships in a row with the Under 17, in 2010 and 2011, and losing the final to the Under 19 in 2012. At the beginning of her career she starts as a left winger, with the passing of the years she is moved as an advanced recorder, up to advancing in the three-quarter, playing if necessary as a half forward.
In spite of the vision of game worthy of the best records, is moved forward because of his excellent talent. There are 117 goals in 271 appearances, a monstrous goal average as a true striker. In Catalonia since 2012, at only 23 years old she earned the captain’s armband of the club. In 2018-2019 she was the team’s top scorer in all the competitions in which she took part.
